Experiential Anatomy with Jennifer Mascall

In the work I do we begin solo then we work with our hands on another person.  Then we often get up and explore with our eyes closed. The participants will learn brand new things and go deeper into physical system they have already explored.  Each workshop is different as the group becomes its own research pod ensemble and each person brings their understanding and observations to the whole group.

Contact Improvisation dance with Anne Cooper
Anne Cooper teaches Contact Improvisation in a clear, fun and fluid way accessible to both the beginner and advanced student.
Her love of the form, its possibilities for improvisation of the physics and the meeting of the minds/bodies of the practitioners has kept her engaged and curious for many years. In the class we’ll work with physical principles, explore technique alone and together and we’ll improvise; alone as a group and in contact with a partner.
Anne’s teaching is infused with her study with teachers Nancy Stark Smith, Peter Bingham, Ray Chung and Steve Paxton (who instigated the form in 1972) during 20  years.
Anne is also a performer of both improvised and choreographed works-her own, and others, and an avid CI ‘jammer’.
COST:   ONLY $70 for the entire weekend or  $50 for one day.
